Solar eclipse

We are one day away from the first solar eclipse of the year on April 30th, 2022. It will start at 11:46 am, maximum eclipse at 1:41 pm, and it will end 3:37 pm. Solar eclipse is a special new moon, setting off new beginnings. Lunar eclipse is a special full moon, signifying completion, end of cycle.

This is the first eclipse on the axis of Aries-Libra, where we will be having eclipses for the rest of the year and beginning of 2023. Eclipses are the time when shadow planets Rahu and Ketu activate and become more present in our lives. These two karmic planets start churning events in our lives and activate soul growth and karmic shedding however uncomfortable it can be. Since this is the first eclipse on this axis, it will give a glimpse of the "work" that lies ahead for the next 1,5 years, while Rahu and Ketu are transiting signs of Aries and Libra.

I did a lecture on topic of eclipses a couple of years ago where I went on this subject in depth. In this lecture I explain the astronomy and spiritual meaning of eclipses, as well as give advice how to use this potent time to your benefit. Link in bio.

In short, the time of eclipses is the time to minimize your outwardly activities and concentrate on your inner work. What are you ready to let go? What patterns are holding you back? What situations keep coming up over and over? In the last two weeks, has something come up that disturbed you? As usual, I encourage to take on a role of creator in your life (vs a victim). It's not the other people who are at fault, it's most likely you. No need to feel guilty, feel empowered that you can change whatever you dealing with.

This eclipse is at 15 degrees 25 minutes of Aries, in nakshatra Bharani. If you have Sun, Moon, Ascendant, or any other planet close to that degree, you will feel the effect of eclipse more intensely. Eclipses always come in pairs. Second eclipse will be in 2 weeks in Vishakha. It will be Lunar eclipse at 9:11 pm PST.
